Those who are passionate about rock climbing will appreciate and enjoy the diversity as well as the originality of the routes in and around Guillestre.
Guillestre sites : 3 sectors (Rue des Masques, Simoust et Panacelle) / Grade de 3 to 8c. The sector of the «Rue des masques» sector which is particularly shaded and cool during the summer. The «Simoust» sector, new site that has nice routes and is recommended for beginners. Mont-Dauphin : 11 sectors / Grade 3 to 8a. This is an important rock climbing site in a conglomeration with a wide variety of routes (slabs, cracks, roof…) for every level. St Crépin : 3 sectors (Chanteloube, St Crépin, les Guions) / Grade 3b to 8a. Réotier : 4 sectors (Grande Falaise, Roche Perchée, Roche Fendue et Rocher de l’eau) / Grade 4 to 7b. Let us not forget the Queyras of course with 6 sies, grade 3 to 8a
You will find a variety of itineraries in the Queyras and in the Écrins.
Storm the Fort Queyras and try out the via ferrata beneath the fort in Chateau Ville-Vieille. Try our the « Pra Premier » or « Crêtes de Combe la Roche » in Arvieux, or even the « Rochers de Clapière » in Ceillac.
Canyoning, what’s that ?? Canyoning is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, rappelling, and swimming. The activity consist to to travel down canyons, forming narrow gorges with numerous drops, beautifully sculpted walls, and sometimes spectacular waterfalls. A perfect setting for a wonderful experience and intense sensations !
