* The Izoard col (2360 m)
The road to the Izoard col is one the most famous stages of the Tour de France.
The col has an average slope of 7% for 17 km.
You can discover the « Casse Déserte », a picturesque site with gulled slopes. The col is the entrance to the Natural Regional Park of the Queyras, offering you a stunning panoramic view of the Briançon and Queyras summits.
* The Vars col (2111 m)Required stage if you are doing the « Grande Traversée des Alpes ». The Vars col gives you access to the valley of the Ubaye with its more Mediterranean landscape which you will notice with every turn of your wheels.
* The Agnel col (2 744 m)Marking the border with Italy, the col was used as a strategic passage for military troupes back in the day. During you ascent you will notice typical Queyras villages, high alpine landscapes with its marmots !
*There exists many other road bike itineraries such as the Ceillac or the Risoul ascent where the Tour de France made a stop in 2014.
